At Oxford Bridges High School, I co- teach the Student Academic Success class (SAS), as well as, assist the students with post-graduation career planning.  My priority is to help each student feel confident they can actualize their post-graduation plans by facilitating opportunities to create goals, realize their personal strengths, build resumes and apply for college. I not only integrate life and college/ career planning into their assignments but into our daily conversation to help each student feel comfortable with believing in themselves.

I believe that mental health and self-esteem are two undervalued qualities in our society that play a vital role in our success as adults. An important goal of mine is to incorporate life skills that promote positive mental health into our program by teaching various ways to handle conflict, reduce stress, and self-evaluate to overcome obstacles.

I received my BA with a major in Business, Management, Marketing and Technology and a minor in Psychology in 2008 from Baker College. I am currently continuing my education to add a teaching certification in Secondary Integrated Science. I have joined the Oxford Community Schools in 2020 and look forward to contributing to this community.
