August 2019
I began teaching in Cape Coral, Florida in January of 2012. I obtained my first teaching job as a 5th grade teacher where I worked with students who struggled academically. As my career progressed, I decided to pursue a change and became a middle school special education teacher. My dream has been to become a teacher since I was a child, and I have been living out this dream for the past 7.5 years. I believe that all children will learn and can reach their highest personal potential. Instilling the values of lifelong learning into my classroom is imperative for students to succeed. I believe it is crucial for students to take accountability in the learning process so they can track the growth they make each and every day. Education is an important profession and it is my job to build a positive, safe culture of belonging in my classroom.
I have been married for four years and I have two beautiful children. I absolutely love spending as much time with my family as I can.
